Pierce turns Two!

We went to Pierce's birthday party yesterday. Braelyn wore her super cute party dress, made by my friends at Urban Baby Company. She had a great time and even got to taste the rainbow. I gave her a smidgen of a skittle.

Here are some pictures from the day. I think I took about 400 of the pinata and then put the camera away. I should have taken more pictures of the rest of the party!

She was sleepy when we first arrived. I had to wake her up from nap time to go. There is nothing I hate more than waking up a sleeping baby!

Here she is with her Daddy....whose mouth is full of pizza....but i love her smile in this one. But, why oh why won't she let me put bows in her hair?? Now I can't even get away with pigtails! She just refuses! So, she'll have a mop head until she comes to realize how cute bows can be. A cute mop head, though.

Jon Paul and Birthday Boy Pierce trying to open the pinata:

It took Jay and JonPaul ripping it apart with their hands to finally tear the thing open.

Jay helping Brae pick out some goodies that I'll end up eating. Have you ever had Milky Way dark? oh my gosh...its heaven in your mouth. thank goodness they're fun size. They're great.
She was more interested in the streamers than the candy.

But Mommy did give her a skittle....a yellow one. I had myself convinced there wasn't as much artificial coloring in the yellow ones since they were the lightest. Ha.
Mmmm....what was THAT?
I don't know what this expression is....I think its "put me down so I can see if Daddy will give me a skittle too."

We had a great time! Wish I would have taken better pictures, but I know there will only be like a zillion more birthday parties and pinatas in her future.

adorable! glad she enjoyed her skittle. Unfortunately for me, Marisabelle knows what chocolate is and that they come in shiny wrappers. She's worse than Guapo when she hears the crinkling of a wrapper. LOL!
