Friday night we had a little shin dig at our house.
Braelyn was very happy to have friends come over:
Avery (Micayla & Andy's) and Brae:
Mommy and her BFF Crystal; Braelyn and her BFF Ellie
Here is the one picture I got of Jackson (Kristy & Brian's) this weekend where he wasn't crying. Poor baby. They drove in from Missouri, he was totally off schedule all weekend, and didn't nap well not being in his own bed. Sleepy sweet boy.
Janna, Julie, Kim, Crystal, Micayla......Kristy was in another room dealing with sleepy Jackson and her hungry 6 week old Brady.
Avery and Ellie enjoy bath time. Why does Avery still have a bow in her hair? Did her hair not get washed? I just realized this.
Saturday Mic, Crystal, and I went out for lunch and to Hobby Lobby...yes, very exciting!
Braelyn wanted some volume in her hair so she borrowed Aunt Crystal's rollers.

Here's a picture with my sweetie pie before we left. Could she be any cuter?
That afternoon we headed out to the pumpkin patch in Flower Mound. Well worth the drive. Avery and Jackson got to ride a pony. Braelyn had fun trying to stuff her mouth full of hay and playing with gourds. Ellie was taking it all in and loved the pumpkins. Ellie and Braelyn also liked talking to the goats. I love how Braelyn is standing on her tippy toes now when she needs to see higher.
The girls also got pulled around in a wagon. Poor Ellie, Braelyn has some thing about patting (lightly slapping actually) her BFF on the head. Here she is mid-slap.

Could she be any happier to be at a pumpkin patch?
Here's the one picture we got with all four of us and our kids (minus newborn Brady who was too little for the pumpkin patch)
Kristy & Jackson, Micayla & Avery, Me & Braelyn, Crystal & Ellie
Gourds! Who knew how fascinating gourds were? She was picking out the perfect one.

Also fascinated by the hay. Which, to be honest I was a little worried about her being near hay. Jay is highly allergic to hay and can't get anywhere near it without having a reaction. So, I wasn't too happy when she had a piece in her mouth. I need an epi-pen .
Love this picture of Avery and her popcorn.
I don't think Ellie wants to hold Braelyn's hand. Probably b/c Braelyn hits her with that hand. Ha.
Here's my favorite; though all these would be better with a bow, she refuses to wear one. So she's got the natural windblown look going on.
So, Braelyn, what did you think about the pumpkin patch? She claps.
And one more, with mister goat:
Saturday night we went out to eat at Lochrann's. YUMMY boxtys! (potato pancakes....mouth watering right now)
Sunday we were exhausted.
I miss seeing them on a daily basis like we did in school. I wish we didn't live so far apart, but we're going to make a habit of getting together at least twice a year. We're thinking Crystal's lakehouse in June and Seaworld next October.

I'm jealous. Great lookin' kiddos! Thanks for sharing. Now you have me missing my girlfriends! sniff, sniff!
And did you go to the pumpkin patch off of 3040? If we get Mari's Halloween costume in the mail this weekend, I'm thinking of taking her.
