At Half Price Books on Sunday I bought this book called "Smart Medicine for a Healthier Child". I had never heard about it before but when browsing thought it would be right up my alley. I am loving it! It has all common childhood illnesses listed A to Z and for each illness gives you the various ways to treat it - conventional medicine, diet / supplements, herbals, homeopathy, accupressure, and even Bach flower remedies.
Its got great guidance and detailed information on cpr, accupressure, heimlich, herbal admin, etc. Also, tables that list information on conventional medicines & their effect, administration, availability, side effects, and contraindications. It has the same detailed chart for various herbs and homeopathic remedies.
I highly recommend this book to all parents. Its got information for the most traditional to the most holistic points of view. It's perfect for me because I like to know all my options when it comes to Braelyn's health.
