Haircut, Pierce, Easter

We had a fun filled weekend!

Braelyn got her first haircut on Saturday. Her hair looks so much better and is not getting in her eyes now when she plays - and it will grow in more evenly now. She did so well getting her hair cut. Of course, when does she ever get upset?

The minute they put the smock on her, she spit up all over it. Pretty funny.

Jon Paul, Haylene, and Pierce came over this weekend. We took some pictures of Pierce (13 months) and Braelyn playing together so we can put them on their slideshow when they get married one day. :)

Braelyn trying to steal her future boyfriend Pierce's sippy cup. She also really liked his black converse sneakers.

Pierce already making the first move...

Easter sunday was chilly! We went to church, but had to leave a little early because Brae started talking near the end of service. I used to be able to just rock her to sleep during church, but not anymore. Maybe its time for the nursery.

Braelyn liked her easter basket - with a set of bunny ears, a book, and some very much needed bath toys. She had lots of fun playing in the bath last night with her new turtles and cups.

We went to Jay's parents house for lunch and to hunt Easter eggs. We had a good time, though I did miss getting to see my family this year. Mom has started a tradition the past few years where she has an adult easter egg hunt - with money! Next year we'll go there, though. This year Braelyn couldn't really hunt for eggs anyway. She just wanted to put the plastic eggs in her mouth. Which, you know me - I was like "no!! lead paint! BPA! What # plastics are these??" Just kidding, I'm not that bad, yall! (well, maybe a little)

Here she is with her Aunt Amy

and Grandmom

Jacob found the most eggs of course! He was so excited to hunt for Easter eggs this year. The Easter Bunny also brought him a lawn mower that blows bubbles.....oooohhhhh.

Too chilly out for Braelyn to hunt for Easter eggs, so we cuddled with the blankie on the swing.

Braelyn now loves being (somewhat) tossed in the air -and its quite an arm workout!
