Deceptively Delicious

I put this on my Christmas list and I can't wait to get it (at least, I hope I'm getting it....:)
Jessica Seinfeld (who is the cutest person ever, saw her on Oprah...) started pureeing veggies and sneaking them into everyday meals her kids would eat. Well, since I have a husband who does NOT eat veggies (besides corn-which is not a veggie in my opinion, green beans, and carrots) I plan on using this cookbook to sneak in some nutrition for him. I did make him "cauliflower" mashed potatoes a while back. He had no idea and had two helpings of the stuff. Later, he was like.."what kind of potatoes were those?" Oh, they weren't, honey. That was cauliflower- that stuff you think looks "scary" with milk and butter.

I'm not really sure exactly how I made it. Obviously, I steamed cauliflower a really long time, used a mixer to puree it, and added milk and butter, salt & pepper. I've heard its better if you do add a few potatoes in the mix. Maybe sour cream would be good too.
I did learn that Jay does not pay much attention to what he eats because they were more of a translucent yellow color. He never questioned it. They appeared to be mashed potatoes, so he ate them as such.
I can't wait to get this book!
