I have not had a fun experience the past few days. I've got an ingrown toenail and today it has culminated in the 2nd most severe pain, next to giving birth! I actually told Jay it has been worse than contractions were, because at least there are breaks in between contractions. So, after waking up at 4 am in tears because of my throbbing toe, I decided to go the Doctor - and he decided to CUT IT OUT! I had 3 shots in my toe (he usually does 4, but my feet are small and would only take 6cc, not 11cc - isn't that cute:) to numb it. Then he cut into the side of my nailbed and I heard two snips with the scissors. I'm all bandaged up and should feel better by Friday, he says. I've actually had to be wheeled back and forth from my office in my rolling desk chair by coworkers now that my numbing is wearing off. Funny, but absolutely necessary!
So, I had to share my whining on my blog. Its nice to have a forum where I can complain as often and as long as I so desire! For those of you with weak stomachs, I decided to forgo an illustration with this entry.
Lesson to be learned, folks. Use nail clippers! Part of the toenail had broken off, so I tore the rest of the toenail to make it all even, and ended up with a icky infected toe.

I hope your toe feels better! Completely cracking up at the idea of you being wheeled in your office chair...little princess.
